Nous voulons adresser nos sincères condoléances à nos sœurs et frères dans la foi en Egypte, qui, ce dimanche 11 décembre 2016, ont une nouvelle fois subi une attaque sanglante.
Nous portons dans notre prière les victimes tuées, blessées et leurs familles, nous portons dans notre prière les responsables de la communauté copte d’Egypte. Et nous portons dans notre prière tous les égyptiens de bonne volonté, soucieux de la paix et de l’harmonie entre les humains.
Ces actes de haine aveugle, qui visent aussi à dresser les uns contre les autres les croyants chrétiens et musulmans, ne doivent pas amener ceux qui se réclament du Christ à réclamer vengeance. Que l’amour soit plus fort que la haine et finisse par la vaincre. Ceci est le coeur de notre prière, pour l’Orient et pour l’Occident.

Condolences
We want to address our condolences to our brothers and sisters in faith in Egypt, once more the victims of a bloody attack on Sunday December 11th.
We lift up in our prayers those who were killed, those who were injured, and their families, we lift up in our prayers the people in charge of the Coptic Churches in Egypt. And we also lift up in our prayers all Egyptians of good will, anxious to keep peace and harmony between human beings.
These acts of blind hatred, which aim at setting Christian and Islamic believers against each other, should not lead people professing Christ as their Lord to claim for revenge. Let love be stronger than hatred so that love will defeat hatred. This is the heart of our prayer, for the East and for the West.
